It's Normal. For us, anyway

When you're in the Qrew, it's normal to:

1. fight with giant crayons

2. play matchmaker again and again

3. get into whipped cream fights every weekend

4. get random messages in math saying your friend Alli needs help now

5. sign up for a tour of a beauty college just to get a free haircut

6. drink six glasses of water in a row (ok, that's just Mikey)

7. play guitar all together for hours on end

8. eat bean burritos every single day of your life until you become bean burrito intolerant

9. make breakfast a lot

10. pay for a meal in all change and then throw the rest in the parking lot (ok, once again..)

11. tie little siblings up with a vacuum

Psh, No Way!

... of COURSE i wouldn't drive without a license? You're crazy.

Happy Birthday, Lace!

Today our very own Lacey Kay, celebrated her birthday today. It was full of her mother's famous strawberry pie, dance offs, random games, and new quotes.

Tonight we also learned Alli would rather spoon out a human's eye rather than stradle a cow over a fence. How comforting to all of us indeed.

So, here's too you, Miss Blue/White. To all the laughs, quotes, and memories. You are the best of the best and I personally consider myself incredibly lucky to have called you my friend all these years!

How the Qrew Became the Qrew

"Hello?" I answered my phone.
"Ethan, the group wants to know where you are," Ben replied.
"The group?" I burst out laughing.  I knew exactly who he was talking about, but we'd never been called "The Group" before. "Ok, I'll be there soon." I answered him. At first, it seemed kind of clique-ish to me. The group?  At the same time, though, I loved it.
Alli, Miriam, Lacey, Mikey, Ben, and I had all been friends for a long time, but usually not all of us together.  Now we were in high school and everything just seemed to be clicking.  We hung out every weekend, had funny inside jokes, and talked about pretty much everything.

A few weeks later, a plan was devised that we would go to "The Sunshine Cafe," also known as "The Second Happiest Place on Earth" for breakfast.  The night before I sent out a quick text to everyone telling them to meet at Mikey's and to wear their pajamas or Alli would rip out their hearts and eat their souls.  Yeah, she's kind like that :). Anyways, we all got to Mikey's at about ten.  Mikey's dad was our ride, but he had gone to breakfast with the rest of the Evans family and so we had to wait for a while.  After about a half-hour of watching Mikey and Ben kill zombies,  Mikey's papa finally got home.  We headed out in search of the Second Happiest Place on Earth.  It turns out that the Sunshine Cafe is pretty hard to find.  Either that, or we're all directionally retarded.  Anyways, after twenty minutes of going in circles, we finally found it.  It was a cute little place and had this awesome 70's memorabilia all over the walls.  We all devoured our breakfasts (which were delicious, by the way)  everyone paid (Mikey paid in all coins, but that's a different story) and we headed out for our next adventure.

After buying delicious gum in the gas station next-door and running away from a scary stalker, we decided to walk around until Alli's mom came to get us (Yes, while Miriam and I do have our licenses, we don't like being illegal.)  We visited a thrift shop where I, the half-hearted voice of reason, felt uncomfortable because we were bothering the owner (I've learned that there's no way to stop Mikey and Alli, once they get one of these ideas in their heads.)  We left the shop and started walking/running/jumping/skipping around Bountiful. I heard a snippet of conversation between the rest of "The Group".  "The group.  Hmm.  I like The Crew," Miriam said.

"Yeah!"  Alli chimed in. "Crew with a Q!"

I, being the wet blanket, didn't love the idea. "Nah, come on guys.  The Group is cool!"  I tried to say.

"No.  The Qrew."  Alli said.  And that was that. Have I mentioned that you don't want to mess with Alli? Anyway, we've been The Qrew ever since.

We have had many wondrous adventures since then, and we'll continue to write them up and post them here as a reminder of the awesomely great things that have happened to us.
